Application Status

In an effort to streamline the application process, we have changed the review timeline.

If you’ve already submitted your application, please allow four (4) weeks from the date your application was submitted for processing, (i.e. obtaining GRE scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation etc.) If we have not received all required information for your application, we will alert you sometime within the four week processing period.

However, if your application is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from the Department of Biology. The application will then be forwarded to the Graduate Admissions Committee. Please allow an additional two (2) to four (4) weeks for Committee review and decision notification.

We ask that you refrain from contacting our office to check application status during that time.

Revised GRE 2011

If you have not taken the GRE and plan to apply for fall 2011 or spring 2012 admission, we highly recommend taking the current GRE before August 1, 2011.
